Lately I have been thinking about how I want to grow as a Dentist next. I’ve been associating with practices for 2 years now, and I have a growing desire to start working for myself. Don’t get me wrong, I love going home without the headache of owning my own practice. I have this feeling though that I want to start taking charge. I’m not sure if I will actually go through with buying something, especially since we just bought a house, but you never know! I’ll keep you posted.
Dad’s birthday party September 7, 2008
I’m a week behind posting because I’ve been busy! I’ll catch up. Last Sunday we celebrated my dad’s birthday. We had it at out house. Bob and my brother Eric grilled out burgers, veggie burgers, corn, and veggies. It was so good! I think everyone enjoyed it. My dad said several times not to get him anything for his birthday, but i couldn’t resist. I saw this singing boyds bear about a month ago that I had to get. My mom and dad have a girl singing bear that they love, and now they have singing boy bear too. lol. I didn’t take into account though that my 1 yr old nephew Maddox would want it. I guess I need to get him one for Christmas. haha.
1st Ballgame September 7, 2008
Last Saturday night Bob and I went to a Lookouts ballgame, which is Chattanooga’s minor league baseball team. My friend Melissa and her boyfriend had invited us and someother people to join them in a private room to watch the game. It was so much fun cause we got to watch the game in an air-conditioned room with food! How awesome is that! What makes it even better is that it was my first ballgame. I played softball in dental school and have gone to my friends and nephews ballgames, but I have never gone to actual baseball game where you have to buy tickets 
Everyone kept saying that I’m spoiled and will never be able to sit in a normal seat because I got to watch my first game in a private booth.
My Dad August 30, 2008
Yesterday was my Dad’s birthday. We didn’t get to celebrate it cause he didn’t get the day off, but we are planing on having a dinner on Sunday with all the fam.
My dad is a hard working guy. There hasn’t been a time that I can remember him not having 2 jobs at a time. He has attempted to retire before, but I don’t think he can handle not having anything to do. He’s just a wee bit type A I think that’s where I get it from.
in-laws August 27, 2008
Bob’s mom and dad are coming back from the Caribbean tomorrow. They have been there for over 2 years because his mom was taking some classes. They are bringing back a cat with them, which is staying with us for about a month. When they leave for Chicago, they are going to take him/her with them. So it will be a fun weekend trying to introduce my pets to a new kitty. Hopefully they will all get along.
Maddox’s 1st Birthday Party August 23, 2008
My youngest nephew, Maddox, just turned 1. They had his party at my sister-in-laws parent’s house. He had his own little cake. He loved the cake part, but hated the icing, just like me! It was fun to watch.
Nashville Dental Meetings August 22, 2008
Bob and I went to Nashville for a few days to attend the annual Tennessee Academy of General Dentistry meetings. We sat through 14 hours of meetings, which was soo long. We went with Bob’s office and the office I fill in for. On Friday night, they had a Hawaiian Luau. It was alot of fun. I loved doing the limbo! It was interesting to see how all the older dentists just kinda sat there and watched us have all the fun. There were only 3 offices there willing to really participate, and two of those were ours! 
There were several drawings, and Bob won the grand prize, an IPOD Touch!! Love it!
At the vet again! August 19, 2008
Blue was doing a bit better after going to the vet last Monday, but on this past Sunday, she started having nose bleeds again. Took her to the vet today, and he said that she is diabetic!! Wow, my dog is diabetic. I guess that explains why she has been very weak and hasn’t been wanting to eat. The vet wants us to put her on a special dog food (which we’re use to) and insulin twice a day. The vet showed us how to give her injections in her back. She did great. What is crazy is I can see a difference in her after just having one injection! She’s feeling better!! The vet says he has never had nose bleeds occur before with diabetes, so hopefully this solves it.
Jack Johnson Concert August 16, 2008
Jack Johnson!!!
Bob and i went to Jack Johnson’s sold out concert in Atlanta on Wednesday night. Jack Johnson was AWESOME!!!! I would love to see him again. It was great. Rogue Wave was good too. We also got to hear a bit from Zach Gill. The venue was at the Lakewood Amphitheatre. It was sooo much fun. We missed the first opening act cause I didn’t get out of work till after 5 pm cause of root canal I was doing. Also we ran into alot of traffic due to the concert. We also had a hard time finding a parking spot. There were some random guys out directing people to park in their yards and selling spots. We didn’t fall for that. We ended up with a good spot that was free. After the concert, we got turned around and had to go back through the concert area. We were so amazed by the amount of trash! For being a “green” concert, it was trashed. I hope they recycle! It took us about 30 mins to get out of the parking lot. While waiting, we observed the people around us. Quite interesting. Saw people having sex in their car and a guy walking around selling “stuff.” It’s a little different than what we are use to out in Cali.

We were both so tired when we went to work the next day cause we didn’t get to bed until 2:30 am. Nothing like working when all you want to do is go to bed
So for our next concert, we are hoping to get tickets to WEEZER!! I hope we do!
