Oscar Dress Review

Loved Natalie Portman’s plum, off-the-shoulder Rodarte gown. So classic! Can’t believe she is pregnant and walking the red carpet in Jimmy Choo’s! Brave girl. I was not a fan of her tassel earrings from Tiffany & Co. though. During her acceptance speech, they bounced around to much. Distracting!

I was not a fan of Scarlett Johansson’s look in the Dolce & Gabbana magenta lace gown. Plus, her hair looks to “everyday” for the Oscars.

Hailee Steinfeld looks so age appropriate in a pale pink Marchesa dress. I think she looks classy and adorable at the same time. Loved her look for a 14 yr old.
I loved the color of Amy Adams dress! Gorgeous with her skin tone. Her sparkly, form-fitting midnight blue L’Wren Scott gown looks great, but it looks a little heavy on the top. Maybe it is the capped style sleeves. The 1.35 million emerald-and-diamond Cartier jewels are amazing. Would be so nervous wearing something so valuable!

I was not a fan of Melissa Leo’s Marc Bouwer number. Reminded me of a table cloth, too intricate.

Matthew McConaughey looked great in Dolce & Gabbana, but his date, Camila Alves, out-shown him in a Kaufman Franco gown.

Florence Welch looked bland in this Valentino number. I think if the color was different it would be better.
Cate Blanchett wore a pale lavender silk chiffon Givenchy Couture gown. I think this is a look you either loved or hated. I was not a fan.
Ok, I had to mention Russell Brand. I loved the quirky blue-and-black suit, which he paired with a matching checked shirt. It matches his fun personality.
Speaking of quirky style, Helena Bonham Carter turned up looking decidedly put-together in a goth style dress, with a patriotic garter. Her clutch looked like a folding fan. I liked she showed props to her country.
Loved the Calvin Klein creation that Gwyneth Paltrow wore. She looks fabulous! I believe this is my favorite look of the night!
The lacy lavender Elie Saab gown looked great on Mila Kunis, but I think it was a little too low cut. The lace looked like pasties or a henna tattoo. It took away from the look. I loved her hair though!
Nicole Kidman’s Christian Dior Couture gown would have been better without the middle section poking out. Loved her Necklace and Shoes!!
Now the 8 looks of Anne Hathaway at the Oscars! All the looks wear put together by Rachel Zoe. Good Job! Loved them all!
Valentino couture. Loved the train!
Givenchy dress
Oscar de la Renta
Loved the color of this Armani Prive
Lanvin tux, Tiffany jewels, and custom-made Brian Atwood pumps. I would love to own those shoes!!
Vivienne Westwood corseted strapless
Tom Ford
burgundy silk chiffon gown by Atelier Versace
And last, but not least, James Franco channeled his inner Marylin Monroe

The William

The William is a new type of stove. I would love to try it, but I do love my gas stove. Someone could really cook a whole meal on this stove at once! This technology would be wasted on me though. I generally only use 2 burners at a time. lol

Find Your Color Personality

Real Simple has a fun little color quiz. I am an Earth Personality! I think it was fairly accurate for me. The colors it suggested was grays and blues, which my whole house and wardrobe is with a dash of black, purple, and coral 🙂

So what personality did the quiz say you are?

Official Royal Wedding China

Ok, as you know, I have mentioned that I am a fan of the British Monarchy. I just love all the formal customs, etc. The Royal family introduced the official Royal wedding china yesterday, and I must say that I want a piece 🙂

The couple have approved the Royal Collection’s range of china, which includes a tankard (£35), an eight-inch plate (£40) and a pill box (£25), all in English fine bone china.

I believe I would pick the tankard (cup). Which piece would you pick?
